Raise your hand if you have super dry, peeling lips? Then you’re just like me!
Ever since I was little, I have always had the worst lips. They used to crack, peel, bleed, swell and I was an avid chapstick user. I’m not just talking about using chapstick once every few hours, it was once every 15 minutes. Hunter used to say that the question I asked most in a day was “where is my chapstick?”
After many years of searching, I have finally found lip products that work! Trust me, I have tried everything too. Now my lips are soft, full and there is no more cracking! I also don’t have to reapply chapstick every 15 minutes either.
Each night, I start off by completely removing my LipSense with using our Ooops Remover. If you are a LipSense user, I cannot stress how important it is to take off your LipSense every night. I suggest using our remover, because it was created to take off your lip color while protecting your lips. There is no need for unnecessary scrubbing and pulling , just apply, wait about a minute, and then gently wipe away with a cloth. Now you are left with clean lips.
After I remove my LipSense, I wash the rest of my face using our 3 in 1 Daily Cleaner. I use this Polishing Exfoliator on my face and my lips. Please note that I exfoliate my lips only once or twice a week. Over exfoliating can cause irritation and dryness. If your one of the lucky ones and have lips that don’t peel then you can skip the exfoliation step.
Next, I use Lip Volumizer. This was my game changer! Yes, I did want more fuller lips, but what I found is that not only was it giving my lips a much fuller look, but it was smoothing out my lips. My cracked lips began to go away with every use.
My last step is Moisturizing Lip Balm. I apply this over the Lip Volumizer after about 20 minutes. Think of this as a protective shield over you lips all night. It locks in the moisture, ensuring that your lips stay hydrated throughout the night. I often use the Lip Volumizer and Lip Balm, in the morning if I am not putting on LipSense right away.
This last part if the hardest part for me, but stay hydrated! I know that I don’t drink enough water and there are many days that my lips can still feel dry despite my lip routine. This is when I know that water is key.
I hope this helps for everyone out there with the same lip struggles I have!
All my love,
Michelle Marie
