The Fun Of Apple Picking

Apple Picking at Sky Top

Outfit Details

Barbour Jacket // Sweater // Jeans // Hunter Boots // Necklace

This is definitely more of a fun post, but I finally crossed apple picking off of my to do list last weekend! I am the queen of making seasonal bucket lists and then never checking anything off of them. This year, however, I have successfully crossed off several.

Sky Top Orchard

Just a side note, many of these pictures are what happens when your husband makes you laugh while he is taking your pictures. With that being said though, Hunter, I and another couple met at Sky Top Orchard in Flat Rock, North Carolina. If you are in Greenville or the Asheville area, I HIGHLY recommend that you go! It is only about 45 minutes from Greenville and 4o minutes if you are staying in downtown Asheville.

I seriously love picking any type of fruit, so when apple season rolled around I could not wait to go! Sky Top is the perfect place if you want a day of apple picking fun. When you arrive ( especially during a fall weekend) you will be shocked at just how many people are there! Once you grab your bucket though and begin walking through the hundreds of acres, it will feel like just you are out there. The farther back through the orchard you go, the more apples are on the trees. We, however, did not know that and were climbing trees to find the perfect apple. With 22 different types of apples, you are bound to find your perfect one!

Apple Cider Donuts

If there is one thing you MUST DO while you are there, it’s eating an apple cider donut! Let me just give you some advice right now. Get two dozen donuts. I promise you that one dozen will not be enough. The line may seem long, but it moves really fast! They serve the donuts to you warm and melt in your mouth. It is like fall heaven!! I am so sad that I did not take a picture of the donuts, but you can imagine how amazing they are!

Let me know what is on your fall bucket list!

This is so cute!! I went to Burt’s Pumpkin Farm last weekend with the family and there were so many apple orchids. I thought of you the whole time and that if we were together we would have stopped. Love the pics of you and Hunter. Y’all are perfect together
