Nothing makes me more happy than to curl up with a blanket and a good book! One of my 2018 goals, was to make time to read more and because it was something I loved that often was placed on the back burner. Before I dive into my list, you should know my reading style. I love books that have a happy ending (most of the time) and I read a lot of books that take place in the South or other places I am familiar with. I can promise you though, that you will love the books I recommend!
The Weekenders – Mary Kay Andrews
I loved this book and it kept me throughly entertained. Another reviewer described this book as a “breezy mystery” and that could not be a more perfect description! It’s the perfect beach murder mystery and a great book that will keep you turning the pages all weekend – haha get it?!
A Simplified Life – Emily Ley
This was my first book of 2018 and it was the perfect way to start off the new year. I spent most of January refreshing my home and my spirit. If you are looking for book to help simplify your home and life then this is a must read!
Save The Date – Mary Kay Andrews
Great read especially since wedding season is almost here! I loved how the book went into detail about floral design and house renovations plus I now feel the need to take a trip to Savannah!
Flight Patterns – Karen White
Karen White is one of my favorite authors and I have yet to read one of her books that I didn’t like. Flight Patterns takes place in the town of Apalachicola, Florida and I could not put this book down until I uncovered every last secret of the Chamber family.
Make It Happen – Lara Casey
Every month I try to read at least one motivational book and this book was amazing! I do not have better things to say about it. Lara Casey walks you through her past experiences to show you how to surrender your fears and live a God filled, purposeful life.
Low Country Boil – Susan M. Boyer
I COULD NOT put this book down! This book had been on my wish list for a long time before I finally purchased it and now I wonder why I waited so long! This book is a murder mystery with heavy southern flair and the best part is that it is a series! I have already ordered the second book and I will let you know how it is.
Are there any good books that you have been reading lately?
All my love,
Michelle Marie
Fun! I have read the Mary Kay Andrews books and have Flight Patterns in my basket to read. I also like a motivational book thrown in with the others. My goal was a book a week during recovery but one book slowed me down. You know I love anything with the name Low Country Boil! I want to read that!
I’ll bring it when I come next! You will love it!
