I had all the fall feels in this striped cape sweater while I wore it over the weekend. These pictures are the epitome of fall. The colors of the trees, the color of my sweater, a touch of leopard and of course a Starbucks, create the perfect fall photo op.
Let me tell you though, the weather was NOT like this all weekend. To back up, it was peak this weekend in North Carolina. That means that this is the time of year when the leaves have the most color. My aunt came into town to view the amazing foliage as well. Saturday was miserable weather though, especially as we were heading to Highlands to visit my grandmother. It was rainy, windy and as we drove into higher elevations, the fog was so dense that we barely see the car in front of us! I was so happy that I decided to wear this sweater and it kept me incredibly warm!
This sweater actually ended up getting a ton of wear this weekend. I wore it to Highlands on Saturday, then my mom wore it to church on Sunday, then I changed back into it to shoot all of these pictures! The material is pretty thick, which I think is great for fall weather. I wore a white tank top under it this weekend, but you could easily put a long sleeve layer tee under it was well. My leopard flats went perfectly with this outfit as well. I just love mixing prints!
Also, just in case anyone was wondering what was in my Starbuck cup, my friend Laura over at LauraMintz.com created the PERFECT fall drink for anyone who doesn’t love a pumpkin spice latte (like me.)
