Sneak Peak Into My Weekend

WHOOPS! This was originally supposed to go out last week, but never did! Better late than never!

I had the most amazing weekend filled with old friends and family. It started by driving to North Carolina, Friday afternoon and celebrating my brother and father in laws birthdays. Then Saturday morning, my mom and I drove to Atlanta to one of my best friend’s bridal shower. It was at the Blue Rooster Cafe in Lawrenceville, Ga and I HIGHLY recommend you go if you are in the area. The chicken salad is amazing, but the massive chocolate chip cookie is even better. It was so nostalgic to see my high school friends. We have remained close since we met, even managing to see each other when we all drifted off to college. I could not be happier for her and her upcoming wedding, which is in September!

Since we were back on my old stomping grounds, I couldn’t resist going to Perimeter Mall and hitting up Nordstrom. Y’all, I was able to find two of the main items I wanted in the Anniversary Sale, that was sold out everywhere! The first thing I found was the Sam Edelman Caprice Knee – high boots in Golden Carmel. There was one pair left, that someone must have just returned and they were in my size! I could not believe my luck, especially since I’m a 7 1/2! Next was the B.P Lace Trim Satin Cami in white. I just happened to find one shoved in a rack and once again in my size.

Also, I picked up a few of the Natori Feathers Underwire Contour Bra. I finally understand what all the hype is about! The Natori rep was at Nordstrom for the sale and she was gracious enough to spend a serious amount of time with me, fitting me for the correct bra size and finding the perfect bra for me. She actually made bra shopping a wonderful experience and I walked away with a few bras that fit me like a glove while giving me the support I need.

Hunter and I spent the rest of the weekend at my parent’s house, before driving back home to South Carolina.

5 Things I’m Loving

1. The Bold Type – I started this show last week and I cannot get enough! You can watch it on Freeform, which was the former ABC Family. It is a total chick flick show, but I have fallen in love with the characters. I find it to be a modern, but younger Sex in the City.

2. Girl Wash Your Face –  After hearing so much about this book, I finally tracked it down and bought it. That was not an easy task btw, as it seemed to fly off the shelves so quickly! Being only a few chapters in, I can tell that this book is life changing. Rachel words are true and relatable. I can’t wait to do a full book review for you guys!

3. Loreal Mascara Primer – If there is one thing I believe in when it comes to makeup is that everything needs a primer – including your mascara! This one is amazing and lengthens your lashes, but strengthens them as well. I can see a difference in how long and voluminous my lashes are. This is the drugstore product you need to try!

4. Peacock Green – I created a post last week that was about the color you seem to be seeing everywhere this fall!

5. Flower Drop Earrings –  How gorgeous are these?! I absolutely love the pink ones, but the white ones are just as beautiful. These are the perfect earrings to end summer on a high note!
